Mike at San Antonio Web Design has been developing websites since the internet began. VastHTML is under new ownership. Over the next few months we hope to increase the selection of “dark themes” for WordPress as well as improve the current theme offerings with new versions.
A few contentious items that I want to address the incoming comments on:
1. The Forum Server plugin. VastHTML seems to have done a great job cleaning up and supporting a plugin that has been around a while. I don’t know alot about the original plugin, but I do know this: In the open-source world, it is perfectly acceptable to improve on someone else’s work and re-release it. Did you know that WordPress was originally based on another open-source CMS? I really don’t want to read any more complaining about this plugin. If you don’t want it – please don’t download it. Feel free to download the original.
2. Paid Support. I think paid support sucks too. Let’s not do it.

We have a new theme on the way. This will be our fist new theme release in a while. The theme will be called XLR8R (accelerator). The theme will be of a gallery type focus and very simple to use. this will be a premium theme with a price of around $20.99. The theme will of course be very, very dark.
meanwhile dont worry we are still working on our other goodies. We have been busy updating every theme and making new plugins so this may be the first, and last new theme release in a while.

We announced this a few weeks ago but decided to spend a little extra time with it. This release is more than just a update and all purchasers are encouraged to update to this release. Cloudscape v2.1 should be arriving by this weekend along with the long awaited release of Dark Side v2.0. Me and Xyphor have been working for 2 months now getting Ds ready for release.

$10.99 for support isnt that bad and everyone has always been very happy with my support, any of you users thats been here a while know that.
I am working on rewriting my instruction so that users can follow then much better and a few other small things that will make you paying $10.99 a last resort.
If you buy a premium theme, which all on the site are $10.99 each. Afterword you buy a support package which is another $10.99. That’s only $22.00! Where else can you find themes this quality for $22.00? I am simply giving you more options. Would you rather me just charge the $22.00 the first time? what if you never used the forums? Now you have a choice. Buy what you need and dont pay for what you dont use.
In other news the Block IE6 plugin is getting a major facelift. I was never happy with the design of the splash screen so now i think i have something i like.
I will be making our back-end service we provide here on Vast HTML a whole new site and section on its on. I have not made my mind up on a name for the site yet so if you have any ideas please let me know. The service is building WordPress theme and plugin back-ends, admin panels option integration and pretty much anything that goes on in the admin side of a theme or plugin.
Also a new plugin will be released in the next few days. I haven’t given a lot of information on this yet about what it does except to a few beta testers. If you are interested in being a tester please leave a comment and ill pick a few people.
Starting today if you buy Cloudscape you will get version 2.0 This is a major improvement over the original version. Version 2.0 has a complete theme options menu, and a updater to let you know when you can update to a new version. The options menu can be seen here (CloudScape Options). The theme is only $10.99 and is great for galleries.
Vast HTML will be down for about 12 hours starting later tonight. This downtime will be to implement a new design and a whole new structure for our products. We have a ton of new features and a much easier site to navigate. I wanted to delete everything and start all over with a whole new WordPress install but it would just take to much time. So ask your support question and buy your products now before we close later today.
I been working on the Ascari theme options today. here is a screen of what i have got so far.
Our most downloaded free theme Ascari will be premium after all the updates to Vast HTML. the Ascari theme will however have some major updates before you have to pay for it. Will post screens one development is a bit further. The free version will still be avalible.
Over the next few days i will be updating all the themes here on Vast HTML to work better with 2.8+. This is somehitng i have needed to do sine 2.7 but hadn’t got around to it. Anyone that has purchased a theme will be able to update to the new version for free.
