Problems creating New Topic

When I create a new topic the post does not show as the initial reply. There are no replies when a new topic is created. I tried creating one on here and the message body text appears as the first reply. This is not the case for the version I have plugged in (v1.4 – latest version). I notice that some others are having the same issue but I can’t find a solution.

Can you help please?

btw – I have installed forum server on 2.9.2 WordPress MU

I can’t see how to create a new topic. How do you do this?
